Privacy Policy

SimplyCub is built for children ages 5–9, so privacy and safety come first. We follow the principles of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we collect the minimum from children, a grown-up sets everything up, there are no ads, and we never sell data.

Only what’s needed to teach and personalize, set up by a parent:

• A first name or nickname and an age.
• A few interests (e.g. dinosaurs, space).
• Learning progress and the child’s conversations with the cub.

We do not collect surnames, addresses, schools, phone numbers, photos, precise location, or contacts from children. Children never create a login.

A grown-up creates one secure account (email magic link or Google) and is verified before entering Parent Mode or making purchases. Children are profiles under that account.

To teach the child, personalize examples to their interests, keep conversations safe and age-appropriate, and show parents progress. We never use children’s data for advertising, and one child’s data is never shared with another child or family.

The cub stays on learning and friendly topics. Disallowed topics are gently redirected, and if a child says something concerning, the cub responds with care and points them to a trusted grown-up — and the moment is flagged for the parent. Parents control content filtering, available subjects, time limits, and whether conversations are recorded.

In Parent Mode you can view transcripts, reset the cub’s memory, export all of your family’s data as a file, and delete everything (on the device and in the cloud) at any time. To make a request by email, contact privacy@simplycub.app.

Data is stored with row-level security so a family can only ever access its own. We keep data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service; deleting your data removes it. All AI and voice keys stay server-side.

There is no advertising anywhere in SimplyCub, and we never sell or rent personal data.
